While visiting the zoo this week with my little one, I got the inkling to buy a souvenir for her, something she could one day look back at the adventure and remember or have some connection to. Buying souvenir’s for loved ones is often not easy, afterall, what really is the perfect momento of a trip?
It dawned on me though while I was there in the moment looking at the zebras that I wished I could capture a piece of this day with my little girl. I realized that my favorite souvenir from all of my traveling was usually my photos and sometimes the cool foreign money I would come home with. One of my favorite keepsakes is a photobooth strip of photos of my husband and I in San Francisco. The best part is, no printing pictures later if you don’t feel up to it!
Photobooth’s are so fun and capture a lot for a small amount of money. They capture the humor in trying to pose quickly and somehow become a candid little eye into how the day or trip was. I decided that this is the perfect souvenir to start collecting for my daughter. Now whenever we go some place far away or some place really special I am going to be on the look out for these little booth’s that create the perfect memory. I hope someday to have a little collection of photo strips to give to my daughter and we can enjoy telling stories about fun trips.
